UX/Design Portfolio
I’ve worked with clients such as People Magazine, Time Inc., Barnes & Noble, Mercedes, Aetna, Viacom, and the Boston Public Library. Here, you can see examples from these clients, including my roles in project management, UX, content strategy, and specific deliverables. You can also see these (and more!) directly onĀ Flickr.
Website Redesigns:
The Orphaned Starfish Foundation
The redesign for The Orphaned Starfish Foundation included end-to-end services such as strategy, user experience, creative design (including logo), photography, copywriting, and technical build. I lead this project.

Rise | A Community Service Partnership
The main concept for Rise’s site was to display their services while making the donation process more interactive. We gave them a shopping cart, a new concept for nonprofits. This site won a 2009 Silver W3 Award. I lead this project.

UX Test Kitchen
The UX Test Kitchen site began as an idea on the back of a napkin (see Wireframes). The main hero area is both the navigation and the user’s location indicator. This site won a 2009 Silver W3 Award and a 2009 Silver Davey Award, both for navigation. I lead this project.

Wireframes:
T. Rowe Price Search Interface
This wireframe shows the landing page of search results, though the full set includes auto/suggestive search, zero results, related results, and misspellings. I was the information architect and content strategist.

Reproductive Health Access Project Redesign
This concept focuses on dual point of entry, making resources available either by topic or by audience. I was the information architect and am also leading the entire project (which will launch in March 2010).

UX Test Kitchen
The UX Test Kitchen website began as a concept on the back of a napkin, then was developed into a three template wireframe set. The live site is featured above, and has won two awards. I was the information architect and project lead.
The Orphaned Starfish Foundation
The OSF site focuses on the “Starfish Story” - highlighting how they have helped each child. We focus on the organization, rather than pushing donate like most nonprofits. I co-collaborated with another information architect and also lead the entire project.

Metadata, Libary Science, & Content Strategy:
Viacom Metadata Schema
This semantic metatdata schema was developed to deliver relevant, suggested content based on a user’s pop culture preferences. I was the content strategist on the project.
Taxonomy and Metadata for UXers Presentation
This presentation explains the basics of how to create a taxonomy for most content management systems, specifically targeting people in the interactive industry and user experience.
This original, Level I, Dutch MARC record was created for the John Adams Library for OCLC and the Boston Public Library. It follows DCRB, AACR2, etc.

Marizon Zimmer Bradley Primary Bibliography
This bibliography began as an assignment in graduate school, and grew into a two-year, coast-to-coast research project - including unpublished fanzines, articles, and works under pen names. It is the only complete bibliography on Bradley, and one of the most thorough on any science fiction/fantasy writers.
